Hurricane Laura To Cause ‘Catastrophic Damage’ – NHC

The United States National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Wednesday that Hurricane Laura is set to cause great damage.

Some are ready to say that Hurricane Laura will cause “catastrophic damage” when it makes landfall in parts of Texas and Louisiana tonight.

The NHC warned: “Catastrophic storm surge, destructive winds, and widespread flash flooding expected over portions of southwestern Louisiana and far southeastern Texas.”

Earlier in the day, the NHC upgraded Laura to a Category 4 hurricane. Last week, the storm killed at least 20 people as it made its way through the Caribbean.
