Russia Says No Against Weapons in Space – Peskov

On Friday, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia opposes the idea of deploying weapons in space and has always backed the concept of outer space disarmament.

Peskov was asked about the anti-satellite weapon that Moscow allegedly tested. Still, Peskov had a very straightforward answer: “Russia has always been and remains a country that is committed to the aim of fully demilitarizing outer space and non-deployment of any kind of arms in outer space.”

Space ambition is in for the last decades, and the President of the United States didn’t hold back in May to praise the “new age of American [space] ambition.”

On top of that, he announced the “greatest weapons ever imagined in history.”
