Schindler To Cut 2,000 Jobs

The Schindler Group just announced that it would reduce its workforce by 2,000. This move won’t be done overnight but over the next two years.

This legendary elevator maker announced the decision in its second-quarter earnings report, which showed the company’s revenue fell 9% per annum to 4.96 billion Swiss francs (€4.63 billion).

During the same period, Schindler’s net profit dropped by 28% to 313 million Swiss francs (€291.90 million). Schindler currently employs 65,627 people.
